About Department

Diploma in Computer Engineering is a three-year (six semester) diploma course. The department of Computer Engineering started in year 2014. The Department has well qualified and experienced teaching faculty members with various specializations. The department has well equipped laboratories and classroom. All the computers are connected in network and free Internet facility is provided to students. We provide quality education with sound technical knowledge which will fulfil the current industry needs.

HOD Profile

Ms. Roshani K. Dharme has done M.E (Wireless Communication and Computing) from Rastrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur and B.E(Computer Technology) from RTMNU ,Nagpur. She has working experience more than 16 years. She has guided many projects, prestigious project competition DIPEX 2019 has awarded two projects as first prize in Department category and Best Women Award for Technological Innovation.

Her research area includes security, algorithms, data structures, computing languages, system programming. She has authored many papers in international and national journals/conferences in the area of security, algorithms, wireless communication. She has conducted many MSBTE sponsored competition includes paper presentation, quiz competition, faculty training.

In our department we not only give emphasis on study but also apply our knowledge in understanding what computers are, what is its architecture, how to efficiently program them, different tools to write an effective algorithm, the interface between the computer and the user, the computer graphics, computer networking, managing the software database, software engineering and testing them efficiently and more.

Programs Outcomes

    Engineering Graduates will be able to:

  • 1. Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
  • 2. Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
  • 3. Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
  • 4. Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
  • 5. Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
  • 6. The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
  • 7. Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
  • 8. Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.
