G. H. Raisoni Institute of Engineering and Technology (GHRIET), Nagpur, an autonomous institute offers the four-year B. Tech course in Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security). HOD Profile

Dr Praveen Kumar

Dr. Praveen Kumar Mannepalli is currently working as an Associate Professor and Head in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security),GHRIET, Nagpur. He did his PhD in the faculty of Computer Science & Engineering from Sunrise University, Rajasthan, M.Tech from Acharya Nagarjuna University, Andhra Pradesh and B.Tech from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad. He is an astute Professional with fifteen pulse years of experience in Teaching and Mentoring of undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. students in various institutions and different positions. He also worked as an Assistant Professor at the prestigious Hawassa University in Awassa, Ethiopia for four Years. He has demonstrated his abilities in teaching and administration in a variety of capacities at well-known institutes and Universities.

He has thirty-three research paper publications to his credit. He has published five text books and one book chapters at an international level in the fields of Machine Learning, Data Science, Cloud Computing, and Block chain Technology. He is an acting reviewer and editorial board member for many national and international journals and Conferences.

He had an experience of facilitating and coaching students by using modern multimedia techniques and interactive discussions to help students learn and apply concepts in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, Cloud Computing, and Block Chain tools and technology.

Under his supervision, two PhD scholars were awarded PhDs in the faculty of Computer Science and Engineering.

Course Overview

The B.Tech. programme at the Department of Computer Science & Engineering (Cyber Security), G H Raisoni Institute of Engineering and Technology (GHRIET), Nagpur is a 4-year undergraduate B.Tech program that the students can pursue after the 10+2 exam. This program follows a flexible curriculum that covers the theoretical underpinnings of computer science as well as a range of essential topics in computer systems and cyber security.

We motivate our students to publish regularly in reputed journals, conferences, design projects, pursue certifications of reputed portals, and apply formats and copyrights

B. Tech CSE (Cyber Security) Eligibility Criteria

For admission in Computer Science & Engineering (Cyber Security), the candidate must have passed HSC (10+2) or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subjects and obtained at least 50% marks for open category (at least 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together and the Candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in MHT-CET and should obtain non zero scores in MHT-CET.
