    The quote quite aptly portrays the picture of education at G.H. Raisoni Institute of Engineering & Technology, Nagpur (GHRIET). This institute was established in the year 2008. It is affiliated to Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur. It is recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). It is accredited by NAAC with A+ grade with a score of 3.5 in 4 point scale and is a part of the Raisoni Group of Institutions (RGI). It has made its mark in the world of education enlightening minds and empowering ambitions.

    Since, 21 years the RGI has been the pioneer of quality education, turning dreams into reality. The cities of Nagpur, Pune, Jalgaon, Amravati and Ahmednagar lay testament to more than 24 educational institute including 2 universities under its umbrella. Education in accordance with global standards is well exemplified in the sectors of Engineering, Management, IT, Law, Commerce and Science at these institutes.

    GHRIET has become the center of learning in a short span of time. It offers a plethora of courses to suffice the educational needs of undergraduate and Post graduate students. The curriculum involves a disparate range of skill development courses to quench the thirst of intelligent minds. The objective of this institute is to provide the students with academic pursuits and guidelines to make the most of it. It makes sure to catalyze innovative and original thinking in the students in order to frame their success journey. Continuous evaluation, maintaining world-class standards and alterations are pursued after regular intervals in the curriculum to go hands in hands with the needs of the industry.     G H Raisoni Institute of Engineering and Technology, Nagpur (GHRIET) - the institute which has never ceased to excel whether in academics or research.

    Dr. P.Y. Pawade, Professor in the department of Civil Engineering, from RTM Nagpur University and now taken charge as the Director of G.H Raisoni Institute of Engineering and Technology(GHRIET), Nagpur on 9th August, 2019.

    Exponential growth of engineering institutions in India, although provide an opportunity for young aspirants to opt for an engineering career, pose enormous challenges to develop competent engineering graduates with knowledge, skills and ethical standards for global careers. University Grants Commission (UGC) and Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University accorded the status of academic autonomy to GHRIET from the year 2019-20, which we look towards a great opportunity to design curriculum sensitive to needs of Business and Industries, implement the curriculum through innovative teaching-learning methods and introduce innovative evaluation and assessment methods to ensure better learning.

    Autonomy focuses on "Experiential learning which believes in learning by doing. This is achieved through hands-on experience, industrial assignments, mini projects and live problem-solving. GHRIET has initiated several measures to bring equity, efficiency, and excellence in the Higher Education System. The important measures taken to enhance academic standards and quality in higher education include Choice based credit system (CBCS) and it is designed by keeping in view the need of current Global scenario. This system fostered innovation and improvements in curriculum, teaching-learning process, and examination and evaluation systems. CBCS basically involves incorporation of Global languages like Japanese, German and English at entry level. During the second year, students get convergent with Interpersonal skill development programs like work-life balance, Leadership, and Public Speaking, Corporate Competency etc. For final year B.Tech courses a major change is incorporated in the syllabus which includes choice based four track systems. Due to Implementation of choice based system; we could succeed to shape the carrier of our students in terms of better performance in Research, campus recruitment, entrepreneurship and various competitive exams.

    Academic Council of GHRIET is the highest academic decision making body which sets and maintains high academic standards at par with the best national and international institutes, approves the curriculum, and suggests improvements on a continuous basis. Each department has its own Board of Studies (BOS) which consists of reputed academic, and Industry Expert, Eminent alumni with Head of the Department as chairman to frame the Curriculum and suggest innovative methods of implementation and emulate the best practices of world-class institutions and universities. In order to monitor and improve the academic ambiance, Academic Development Committee (ADC), Quality Assurance Cell and Academic Planning and Monitoring cell ensure the academic policy implementation.

    GHRIET, proactively initiated steps to transform teaching-learning process to make learning a joyful experience for students. We firmly believe in IUCEE Mantra "I am teaching, are they (students) learning. Say What You Do, Do What You Say. Prove it and improve it." This shift of focus from teaching and learning started yielding good results. The new and innovative practices like within a short span of a year of autonomy, we could be able to design and implement the robust academic systems to raise the bar of academic standards with the active involvement and cooperation from students, academic and administrative units. Faculty, technical and administrative staffs of GHRIET deserve a special appreciation for their relentless efforts to give a joyful learning experience to students.

    Our efforts are always on, in the direction to develop an overall personality of students to make them a competent technical manpower for employment and self-employment. We always hope and look forward to a joyful learning experience for students and GHRIET should be the first Choice for both students who value learning as an experience and also faculty who have a passion to create a great learning environment. By three methods we may learn wisdom: first by reflection, which is noblest; second by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest and GHRIET focuses on the third method.
